How AccuLynx’s integration with Beacon works
Beacon Building Products is the largest publicly traded distributor of roofing materials and complementary building products in the United States and Canada. This new integration combines Beacon’s comprehensive offerings of roofing materials and complementary building products with the powerful business management tools in AccuLynx, giving customers an easier way to estimate costs and order materials for roofing jobs.
Once you’ve enabled the integration for your AccuLynx account, you can do the following without ever having to leave AccuLynx:
- See Beacon’s catalog of available materials, complete with your company’s account pricing (both updated in real time) as you build an estimate and/or order
- Place orders directly to your preferred Beacon branch with the option to attach associated documents to your order
- Track the status of your orders from the related AccuLynx job file with automatic, real-time status updates, including proof of delivery photos
How to use the Beacon integration
Build estimates faster
With AccuLynx, all it takes is a few clicks to build an estimate with materials from Beacon—no need to log into another portal to access pricing or see what materials are in stock. You can set up a digital estimate template with frequently used materials and it will automatically reflect your Beacon account pricing.
Streamline your material ordering process
With the Beacon integration, there’s no need to call in orders to your local branch or place them through another portal. From AccuLynx, you can simply convert your estimate to a material order or build your order from an existing template and submit it to your Beacon branch in just a few clicks. This convenient process cuts out extra steps.
Simplify order tracking
Whether you’re at the office or in the field, it’s easy to keep track of your orders with the Beacon integration. You can see the status of your order, including proof of delivery photos, directly in your AccuLynx job file. Order status is updated in real time so everyone on your team is kept in the loop.
How to enable the Beacon integration for your AccuLynx account
AccuLynx users with “administrator” roles can enable the Beacon integration with just a few simple steps:
- Select “Beacon Building Products” from the Add-On Features and Integrations page.
- Click “Enable Integration” and enter your Beacon Pro+ credentials.
- Select your preferred Beacon branch.
