When the company planned to expand into residential work, they hired roofing industry veteran, Matt Jaynes, to help them hit the ground running.

Identifying the right technology to support the residential roofing division
As KPost Roofing’s general manager, Jaynes was tasked with overseeing all aspects of its new residential roofing division. Knowing how critical technology would be to the residential division’s success, Jaynes’ first major initiative was to identify a business management platform that would support their processes and facilitate efficient collaboration across departments.
After evaluating four different types of CRM software, Jaynes decided to implement AccuLynx for their residential roofing division. “I like the way AccuLynx is set up,” said Jaynes. With clear project milestones and a host of time-saving features, he determined that AccuLynx would not only be favored by his staff, but also provide him with sales and production management tools he needed to run the business.

Tracking sales activities would be critical for managers, so Jaynes was especially pleased with how AccuLynx simplified this process. “I can easily track sales activities, including all of the leads in our pipeline, so we can anticipate how many roofs we are inspecting each week,” he shared. Post-sale, AccuLynx offered staff easier ways to schedule and manage roofing jobs, while providing enhanced visibility into work on the actual job site.
Jaynes noted AccuLynx’s production calendar as one of the features that stood out during the evaluation process since it provides access to important information like scheduled crews, appointments, and material deliveries in a single view. Additionally, AccuLynx’s mobile Crew App offered production managers a faster way to exchange information with subcontractors.
“The mobile Crew App lets us exchange photos with onsite crews and see when they complete activities,” Jaynes explained. “And right from the AccuLynx job file, I can monitor communication like emails and text messages between teams and homeowners.”
Jaynes relies on the 20+ customizable report types in AccuLynx to ensure the division is running smoothly. “AccuLynx’s reporting features help us stay on top of performance, including tracking job progress, cash flow, and collections. We can easily monitor specific activities, like making sure jobs only begin following a deposit and that all lead sources are tracked,” he explained.
